so,

i go to visit my nana

[who is nearly a quarter of a millenium years old],

and she has a bunch of old things..

'cuz she's old ya know ?

so seeing as how i adore actual vintage things,
i took the liberty of helping myself to
records,
turntables,
and
cameras.
as an added bonus,
i get to watch all of these old vacation videos that
my now-deceased grandpa filmed

and i even found an original copy of the West Side Story soundtrack.

my weekend is going to be pretty wicked
now that i can listen to the likes of
Bob Marley,
Janis Joplin,
and Black Orpheus
all while filming it on
my new JVC digital "compact" VHS camera.

just a quick prediction but,
watch old cameras,
photography [especially b&w],
records,
turntables,
and generally anything that the
vintage trend [circa '05-'06ish] missed
be the trend of 2009.

everybody is going to suddenly "pick up"

on these things as hobbies

and then claim that they've been doing this forever

and if they haven't then

they've certainly been interested in it

waaaaaaay before it was

cool.
